Thirty Day Challenge Launch

YES!!! I have my first project for the Thirty Day Goal blog and as it turns out appropriately enough the first project is the Thirty Day Challenge. The funny thing is…I wanted to take notes on each day of the Thirty Challenge mainly for personal documentation and so I could refer back to each day without having to go through the video again. Last year Mike Mindel did an awesome job blogging about the 2007 Thirty Day Challenge (It’s what Willis was talking about). This year I started taking notes with Google Notepad and decided to expand upon my notes by creating a full blown blog article.

By the way, I’ve noticed they like throwing in silly little quotes from movies and pop culture…I think that’s one of the things that drew me into last years challenge.

I first heard about the Thirty Day Challenge last September several weeks after the 2007 Thirty Day Challenge already ended. However, the forums were still buzzing and I went ahead and started the training even though the official challenge had ended. The training teaches you tons of information on internet marketing including social media, online applications, networking, and of course the magnificent symphony of four parts (you’ll learn what this is if you watch the day 1 of this years Thirty Day Challenge).

What Is The Thirty Day Challenge?

From the Thirty Day Challenge website:

“In a nutshell… The Thirty Day Challenge is about making your first $10 online. For a full 30 days we are going to be showing you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.

That’s right, this is going to cost zip, diddly, nothing, nada, ziltch. The entire training program is free, and you won’t have to spend a thing to get your business started and begin making money. No credit card required.”

This years Thirty Day Challenge catch phrase: There is no charge for awesomeness…

Preaseason

The preseason is extensive! Basically the preseason give you the tools you’ll need to complete the Thirty Day Challenge. To get to the preseason videos go to the training page and scroll to the bottom. The preseason is located below the regular training videos.

Here are the tools we use in this years challenge:

The videos can take a while to go through. If you’re short on time and you are internet savvy (you probably are already a member of several of these sites already) I’d recommend just signing up for each service and wing it.

Here’s a list of add-ons Ed recommends for the Flock browser (if you don’t know how to install extensions then you probably need to go through the preseason videos):

  • Google Global
  • Google Notebook
  • SEO for Firefox
  • Search Status
  • StumbleUpon
  • TwitterBar
  • Thirty Day Challenge Toolbar

The only bit of information on Google Subscribe is to go to the Thirty Day Challenge Dashboard, click Ed Dale’s cartoon head, and click subscribe.

Day 0 Of The Thirty Day Challenge

Excitement filled the air as we prepared for this years Thirty Day Challenge. Last night I turned my channel to http://www.thirtydaychallenge.tv to catch the Thirty Day Challenge launch show. Total excitement shifted to horror when suddenly the video stopped broadcasting and eventually flipped back to pre-recorded material. Minutes later Ed Dale’s live image reappeared as he explained how in total excitement he kicked the power button on his Mac shutting down his session and of course cutting out his video feed.

Unfortunately I did not catch the entire show, but from what I saw it was an explanation of how to get around and best practices for Thirty Day Challenge training.

That covers most of the launch details and basics on what you need to know before stepping into Day 1 of the Thirty Day Challenge. As I mentioned earlier the preseason videos and content are pretty extensive. The videos are beginner level, but there are many great nuggets of information that I’m sure even the wily veterans may not know.

For optimal enjoyment of the entire Thirty Day Challenge experience I recommend going through all or as much of the preseason content as possible.

Summary

  • Go through the Preseason Content – click here: training page and scroll to the bottom.
  • That’s it!

Have I missed or not touched on something that is important to this years challenge? The preseason lasted two months and it’s been a while since Iast looked at some of the content. If something’s missing please add it in the comments.
