My Day 3 - Narrowing My Ideas With SEO Competion Analysis

Play catchup on the Thirty Day Challenge. Lets see…in reality I should be on Day 6, but here I am slaving away on Day 3. Well, lets get started.

Here are yesterdays keyword phrases:

1. Aquarium Sharks - SEOT - 91, SEOC - 30K
2. Web Realtor - SEOT - 111, SEOC - 75K
3. Green Employment - SEOT - 306, SEOC - 7K
4. Green Car Rental - SEOT - 136, SEOC - 29K
5. Cat Adoptions - SEOT - 91, SEOC -42K
6. Puppy Adoptions - SEOT - 91, SEOC - 14K
7. Dog Adoptions - SEOT - 306, SEOC - 56K

SEO Competition Analysis

Basically, all I’m going to do is enter each phrase into the Market Samurai SEO Competion Analysis tool we learned about in todays Thirty Day Challenge videos. If you need to review then check out my TDC Day 3 summary (Day 3 - SEO Competition Analysis) or check out the TDC videos.

I’m going to rate each site from 1-10. 1 would be the lowest score meaning that it is not a good phrase (competition = high) and 10 the highest score meaning the phrase is good for the TDC (competion = low)

1. Aquarium Sharks (1.5) - http://bbayaquariums was the weakest and it still had over a thousand back links to the page and domain DA=4 and PR=3. This would be tough to break into.
2. Web Realtor (6) - Number 9 was the weakest. http://www.reasoftware.net. DA -, PR=1, ALX=0, BLP=16, BLD=17, BLEG=0
3. Green Employment (1) - all the sites in the top 10 have a ton of backlinks, this would be a difficult group to break into.
4. Green Car Rental (9) - There are several weak sites listed here. Number 9 http://www.gogreencarrentals.com. DA=1, PR=0, ALX=0, BLP=22, BLD=22, BLEG=0
5. Cat Adoptions (5) - the sixth site was the weakest http://www.streetcatrescue.com. DA=1, PR=2, ALX=0, BLP=56, BLD=117, BLEG=1
6. Puppy Adoptions (3) - the sixth site again was the weakest http://www.puppyhillfarm.com. DA=7, PR2, ALX=12M, BLP=21, BLD=55, BLEG=4
7. Dog Adoptions (5) - the fourth site was the weakest http://www.lostdogandcatrescue.org. DA=5, PR=3, ALX=1.4M, BLP=9, BLD=17, BLEG=0

After my SEO Competion analysis I’ve narrowed the field down to four keyword phrases. The most potential seems to be Green Car Rental which has the least competition and 136 daily traffic in the number 1 spot.

Web Realtor comes in at number 2 the only problem with this one is I only found 1 weak sit, but it seemed to be very weak. Also, 111 daily searches is not bad although two other things are bothering me. First the sites are not relating to the subject I’m actually thinking of. I’m thinking more of a website broker. Maybe I should try some other keywords before going with this one.

Cat Adoptions and Dog Adoptions are probably actually 2b and 2c. I can see problems in all the bottom three keyword phrases…however, between “Web Realtor”, “Cat Adoptions”, and “Dog Adoptions” I like dog adoptions the best. However, I think Green Car Rental may be the phrase that pays!
