My Day 1 – Ideas, Google Reader, RSS Feeds

Take a look at my last post on Day 1 – Symphony Of Four Parts, Our Tools, Ideas. If you don’t want to read the entire thing then scroll to the very bottom of the article and you’ll find what Ed has asked us to do on Day 1 of the Thirty Day Challenge. Only two items for today:

  • Come up with 5-10 market ideas
  • Go to Google News | type in your market ideas | Take the RSS feed and put it in your Google Reader

How do we come up with our 5-10 ideas? If you’ve been following the videos then you’ll know that Ed showed us a great way to find ideas using Amazon. Here’s what I did to find my ideas.

5-10 Ideas Using Amazon.com

Step 1: Go to Amazon.com

Step2: However over “Books” in the left navigation bar and then click on “Magazines & Newspapers”

Step3: Go through the categories in the left navigation, put your thinking cap on, and start generating ideas!

My 5-10 Ideas

Using this process I came up with the following ideas:

  1. Pet Rabbit
  2. Therapy Animal
  3. Aquarium Fish
  4. Natural Home
  5. Content Management System
  6. Web Properties
  7. Electronic House
  8. Green Living
  9. Green Car
  10. Green Careers

Adding RSS Feeds To Google Reader

Step 1: Go To Google | Enter Your Idea ***I used quotes around my Google Searches

Step 2: Click “News” in the horizontal navigation bar

Step 3: Click the RSS feed icon in your flock browser to get the feed. You can also create a Google Alert for the feed if you wish.

Step 4: I also created a folder in my Google Reader specifically for the Thirty Day Challenge.

That’s it! Now let the content flow to you, absorb it, become knowledgeable on your subject, and soon we will take over the world….muhhhhaaahhahah….
