Day 8.5 - A Little Bit Of Statistical Analysis
- 4 Comment
If you’re following this blog then you’ll know that I just posted my Day 8 information last night. Sorry about the information on My Thirty Day Challenge…it’s a little weak for Day 8.
Anyways, I wanted to write a short article in between days because I got up this morning and took a look at a few of my stats and was BLOWN AWAY!
Thirty Day Challenge Stat Tracker
As you recall from yesterday we setup the TDC Stat Tracker to track how many clicks we get on our affiliate link. I looked at the Thirty Day Challenge Stat Tracker and found that I already had 13 clicks to the link I setup late last night. That’s awesome! Unfortunately, no sales yet, but I’m not positive how quickly ClickBank updates your stats.
Google Search
The second thing I did was checked Google search to see if I had been indexed in Google.
- I did a broad phrase match by going to Google.com and entering my keyword Dog Adoptions into the Google search box.
- I was amazed to see that my Dog Adoptions article occupied the #13 spot in the google broad phrase match!
- I did an exact phrase match by going to Google.com and entering my keyword phrase “Dog Adoptions” - don’t forget to use the quotes to get the exact phrase match.
- My article, Dog Adoptions right now as we speak is in the #5 and #6 spot for the exact keyword phrase “Dog Adoptions”
Google Analytics
I’m not too sure how up to date my Google Analytics stats are, but here’s what I have so far for August 19, 2008:
Site Usage
- 49 visits
- 79 pageviews
Traffic Sources
- 40 StumbleUpon
- 9 Direct
Very exciting stuff this morning. I’m sure Day 9 goes over some of the things I mentioned above as far as stat tracking and analysis. I was just too excited and wanted to write something this morning.
I finally know what they’re talking about when they keep mentioning the awesomeness. Now I’m just pulling for my first sale.
How’s everyone else doing out there?

Just thought I’d give you the quick update. I wanted to take screen shots of my google rankings when I noticed my dog adoptions article is now number 10 for the broad keyword phrase.
The exact keyword phrase there was no upward movement, but instead of ranking for both the 5 and 6 spot the dog adoptions article only shows in the number 5 spot

I took a look today at my google search results:
Exact Match: 4
Broad Match: 13I moved up one notch on the Exact Match and dropped back 3 notches on the Broad Match. I’ll continue to track and expect at some point I’ll completely drop out of the rankings.
Also, according to Google Analytics I had one click yesterday for the keyword phrase: “Dog Adoptions”
