Day 8 - Social Bookmarking

Social Bookmarking as a great way to let the world know about your site. Eds tool of choice is called SocialMarker and that is what we will be using for the Thirty Day Challenge.

With social bookmarking we’re going to start seeing people arrive at your site. Be sure you setup your analytics and tracking so you can see the people arrive at your site.

By the way, Ed today says don’t worry about your niche…so I won’t

Bookmarking Your Blog With SocialMarker

One big difference between this year and last years challenge is you don’t need to have someone else submit your articles for you…you can just do it yourself this year.

1. Go to the SocialMarker website and add SocialMarker to your favorites toolbar.
2. Go to the page you want to socially mark and click the SocialMarker link in your favorites bar
3. Choose the following Social Bookmarking sites for your article:

• Propeller
• Digg
• Delicious
• Twitter
• StumbleUpon

1. Click Submit in the upper right corner (funny spot for the submit button)
2. Now you need to fill out relevant information for each social bookmarking site (lucky for me I’m already registered at all of these sites).
3. If you’re not registered you will have to register for each site.

***The navigation on SocialMarker is in the upper right corner.

The only clumsy part about going through socialmarker is using the navigation in the upper right corner.

The great thing about doing this is now Google will go through the social bookmarking services see our article and go to and index our blog.

Lets call it a Day 8!
